Buckingham Interiors + Design LLC is a full service Interior Design firm located on Chicago's west side. Having successfully designed interior spaces throughout the Chicago area and around the country, we would be happy to discuss possibilities with you. We are enthusiastic about projects both large and small. An initial consultation is always complimentary.

Our firm, founded by Julia Buckingham Edelmann, has evolved based upon Julia's passion for design and antiques. Julia's fascination with interior design stems from her study of Apparel/Textural Merchandising and Marketing at the University of Arizona, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree. As the owner of an antiques store in Cincinnati, Ohio she traveled all over the world to provide her clients with intriguing and one of a kind accessories and furnishings. Her River North Showroom located near the Merchandise Mart in Chicago featured her custom designed furniture as well as her intriguing artifacts garnered from Los Angeles Flea Markets to the Paris market, Clingancourt and all points between.

As well as owning a showroom, Julia has exhibited for many years her antiques and mélange of unique accessories at the Botanic Garden Antiques Show in Chicago, the Bridgehampton Historical Society Antiques Fair in New York, and the New York City Armory's Design and Antiques Exhibition.

As a homeowner Julia has personally renovated 6 homes and brings to each project and client a vast knowledge of the home renovation and construction process. Buckingham Interiors + Design is based upon the idea that a home should be filled with character... a true reflection of the homeowner's experiences and lifestyle... not necessarily just one designer's vision. Creating a true customer connection is the cornerstone of our business.
